Trey Gowdy asked Mike Pence one question that landed like a ton of bricks

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy and former Vice President Mike Pence found themselves on the same side of a fight against President Trump.

It led to a strange moment.

And Trey Gowdy asked Mike Pence one question that landed like a ton of bricks.

Trey Gowdy’s Stunning Question to Mike Pence

Trey Gowdy is one of the many voices on Fox News who oppose President Trump’s deal to end the Iran war, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon.

From founder Rupert Murdoch on down to hosts like Gowdy, many on Fox News were angling for Trump to order a ground invasion and regime change war.

When Trump stuck to America First principles to avoid an endless war, Gowdy and others changed tactics to try to tank the deal, which opened up a 60-day period of negotiations for a broader agreement.

In an interview with Mike Pence, Gowdy tried to claim the negotiations were a farce and that Trump should respond by starting military operations against Iran.

But to make his point, Gowdy unbelievably asked Pence if he had ever seen Trump lose patience with him.

“I’ve seen his patience run out with me on the golf course. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen his patience run out, but that is not something, I think, the Iranians want to see,” Gowdy stated.

Trump famously wrote off Pence after Pence refused to help Trump challenge the results of the 2020 election when Pence was overseeing a joint session of Congress on January 6.

Mike Pence Wants to Sabotage the Deal

Pence is one of many swamp figures scheming to tank the Iran deal and push Trump back to war.

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed, Pence smeared Trump as practicing “appeasement.”

“But the memorandum of understanding with Iran, signed last week, falls well short of what is required to end the Iranian threat. It smacks of the kind of appeasement the president rightly rejected during our first term. It isn’t the deal a defeated Iran should be getting. It isn’t even a deal—it’s a plan to make a plan,” Pence wrote,

Pence then called on Trump to order new military operations and hinted at a ground invasion.

“This 60-day period should be used to secure what this agreement doesn’t yet provide: an end to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, an end to Iranian-backed terror, and an end to its half-century of warfare against the U.S. and Israel. If those reasonable goals cannot be achieved, Mr. Trump should let the armed forces finish the job,” Pence added.

The White House fired back with both barrels and defended the deal as reflecting President Trump’s America First priorities.

“Following the historic destruction of Iran’s military capabilities through the successful Operation Epic Fury, President Trump and his negotiating team have brokered an excellent MOU that advances the interests of the United States by ending the fighting, reopening the Strait of Hormuz to significantly lower energy prices, and forcing Iran to commit to abandon its nuclear ambitions. The failed Obama policy was defined by appeasement; the successful Trump policy is defined by American strength. What the President has achieved on the battlefield and at the negotiating table is nothing short of remarkable and will strengthen American security for many years to come,” a statement to Fox News from White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales read.
