The deep state spent the last 10 years scheming to foil President Trump’s political project.
Trump struck back in a big way.
And Trump just dropped the hammer and sent the deep state into a fit of rage.
Trump Makes Good on Draining the Swamp
President Trump’s promise to drain the swamp came to fruition when Acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte took office and fired dozens of deep state operatives within the intelligence community.
“Today, I spent time with the National Counterterrorism Center team, who is doing an incredible job protecting our Country under President Trump’s leadership. The room was filled with true professionals and American patriots. It is a privilege to work beside them,” Pulte wrote on X as the firings commenced.
Establishment Republicans initially schemed with Democrats to block Pulte from taking office, knowing that Trump put Pulte in place to purge the conspirators and leakers who undermined his two terms in office.
But some Republicans eventually got on board when they began to understand that Pulte’s appointment was a continuation of former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard draining the swamp on behalf of the Trump agenda/
“Senators were surprised at the Pulte pick for sure,” one Republican Senate staffer told CNN. “But since Trump announced him, Pulte put together a detailed strategic plan to implement Trump’s reform agenda at DNI, he is working closely with (the Senate Intelligence Committee), and he’s executing great. Republican Senators have been impressed. Don’t be surprised if he stays in for a while.”
“Pulte being willing to rock the boat and send a bunch of people back to their agencies and gut the bureaucracy is a feature, not a bug for Republicans.,” the staffer added.
Democrats and the Deep State Meltdown
Democrats and the deep state could do little more than whine and cry.
“We are concerned by reports that you intend to fire or place on leave hundreds of Office of the Director of National Intelligence officers as soon as this week,” a letter from Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) and Congressman Jim Himes (D-CT), the top two Democrats on the Senate and House Intelligence Committees, read.
“While there is room to consider responsible reductions to ODNI’s workforce, any large cuts would follow on a substantial downsizing that has already occurred in 2025 and risk jeopardizing the mission of an organization explicitly created after 9/11 to prevent any future such terrorist attack,” the letter added.
Deep state bureaucrats were traumatized and compared the Pulte reigning in their ability to sabotage Trump to the COVID pandemic.
“The staff is numb and unhappy,” one deep state operative admitted to CNN. “One person compared it to the trauma of the Covid pandemic.”
