Trump Reframes the Midterm Election
In a speech before the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference, President Trump used Mamdani’s hand-picked communist candidates winning Congressional primaries to up the stakes of the midterm election.
Trump argued the Mamdani forces seizing control of the Democrat Party meant Marxism was on the march in America, and it represented the greatest threat in the nation’s 250-year history.
“This is the greatest threat to our country since its founding. In my opinion, 250 years ago, what’s happening right now. It’s the greatest threat,” Trump stated.
Trump explained how Mamdani put his Marxist plan in motion in New York and how it will end with the government seizing private property.
Mamdani instituted a rent freeze in New York.
Trump told the audience that freezing rents meant landlords would no longer be able to afford maintenance costs and inspections, since those costs rise every year, and landlords were stuck charging the same price.
When landlords can no longer afford upkeep, Mamdani will swoop in and accuse them of allowing tenants to live in squalor, which will be the pretext for the city confiscating private property and turning all New York apartment buildings into Soviet-style government communes.
“They’re giving them that they’re basically confiscating their property. And the one representative for the landlords who’s on the board, I think they have eight or nine people on the board, and you had one who was representing one at like eight. But at least you had somebody, but that person walked off and discussed, walked off and got booed,” Trump added.
Trump Lays Out the Choice
In his speech, Trump told Americans this election represented the choice between freedom, which Trump described as the future, and a communism, which Trump warned represented a cancer from the past.
“As this spreads throughout the country, very much like an uncontrollable form of cancer, the country itself will be taken down,” Trump declared. “It will be third world, strictly third world. And it’s happened many times before to very big and very powerful countries. But it’s not going to happen to the United States of America. Because communism really is the past, and freedom is the future. That’s what we are. All we want is freedom. Freedom gets you everything. Everyone needs to get out and vote in the midterms. We have to win this election.”
The 20th century was supposed to be a great contest pitting the values of the West, freedom, l liberty, and capitalism, and against the communist push for state dominion over the individual.
America’s emerging victory and the Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991 were supposed to consign communism to the ash heap of history.
According to President Trump, Mamdani and his fellow Third World Communists are trying to bring it back.
