Trump’s Patience with John Thune is ‘Running Out’
RINO Senate Majority Leader John Thune – and not the Democrats who are filibustering the bill – is the number one obstacle to securing American elections by passing the SAVE Act.

Thune won’t hold a vote to eliminate the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act with a simple majority vote.
Nor will Thune force Democrats to stage a talking filibuster, which means after every Senator speaks twice, Republicans can pass the SAVE Act with a simple majority vote.
President Trump has reached his wits’ end with Thune failing to deliver, and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt made clear that Trump blames Thune for failing to pass the SAVE Act and cripple the Democrat Party’s election fraud machine.
“His patience is running out,” Leavitt told reporters. “He wants to see as much of the SAVE America Act passed as possible by the August recess. He knows that’s what the American people want to see passed. He was just traveling on the road yesterday, spoke about this, and there was a very loud applause from the people in the audience, the everyday Americans, because voter ID is common sense. They want proof of citizenship in our elections, and the president feels very strongly about that.”
The House passed the SAVE Act already, and Leavitt reminded Americans that it was Thune who was falling down on the job and failing to deliver the bill to President Trump’s desk for signature.
The American people elected overwhelmingly Republicans to not just this White House, but also the House and the Senate,” Leavitt added. “The House did its job, the Senate needs to do its job too.”
Thune Makes Excuses
Thune is the Senate Majority Leader.
It’s his job to make sure the Republican conference stays united and advances the President’s agenda.
Yet Thune claimed he was helpless to round up the votes to eliminate the filibuster.
“Well maybe [Leavitt] or somebody else ought to get on the phone and get the votes, right?” Thune ranted to reporters.
“It’s 50 around here, and so instead of, you know, pointing the finger at Republicans, they might think about going after the people who are stopping it on the floor, which is the Democrats, and if there are Republicans that they think are gettable, get on the phone,” Thune added.
Thune also claimed he was helpless to stop Republicans from voting for Democrat amendments if he opened the floor to force Democrats to stage a talking filibuster.
“And obviously, what people don’t realize, I think, is it’s all unlimited debate, but it’s also unlimited amendments. So what I’ve said before is you have to have unified support, not only in support of the ultimate goal, which is the SAVE America Act, on the process to be able to defeat amendments that would undo the legislation the first place. And we can’t find a piece of legislation in history that’s been passed that way,” Thune previously stated.
Thune is an establishment RINO who wants the GOP to go back to the days of Mitt Romney.
And Thune thinks he can wait out President Trump and see if 2028 delivers a more establishment-friendly GOP nominee like Marco Rubio.
