Controversy surrounded Ilhan Omar since the moment she ran for Congress in 2018.
But no one expected this.
And a Fox News star had one shocking response to deporting Ilhan Omar.
Tomi Lahren Calls Out the Idea of Deporting Ilhan Omar as a Distraction
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin raised eyebrows when he told conservative podcaster Benny Johnson that the administration could prove Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud.
“We know that she married her brother to try to bring him to the United States,” Mullin stated.
“There may be more to this, the whole family migration and possibly some illegal activity for them to come to the United States to begin with,” Mullin added.
Mullin then hinted Omar could get deported.
This didn’t sit well with Fox News’s Tomi Lahren.
Both President Trump and Vice President JD Vance also said Omar was under investigation for immigration fraud and could face deportation.
Lahren said it was time to stop talking about deporting Omar and get to work.
“Nothing would make me happier than seeing Ilhan Omar deported for immigration fraud,” Lahren declared.
Lahren argued that rather than focusing on the shiny object of Omar, the administration should focus on deporting the 10 million illegal aliens Joe Biden allowed to flood the country.
“However, what I would have much rather heard from our DHS Secretary is how he’s going to arrest and deport 10 million illegal aliens let in under the Biden Administration. That’s what I want to hear from our DHS secretary,” Lahren added.
Lahren Wants Deportations Sped Up
Lahren argued voters didn’t care if Trump deported Omar since that wasn’t a core 2024 campaign promise, but mass deportations were, and that if Republicans wanted to turn around the polls and keep their majorities, it was time to go pedal to the metal on removing illegal aliens from America.
“I don’t want to hear him answering questions from influencers to own the libs. Owning the libs is so fun; I enjoy it too. What I enjoy more is 10 million illegal aliens being deported, because that was the promise of mass deportations. If they want to do an investigation, do an investigation. But at the end of the day, that’s not what’s going to get people out to vote, is if Ilhan Omar married her brother,” Lahren continued.
“What’s going to get people out to vote for Republicans is “Promises made, promises kept.” Mass deportations. If Ilhan and 10 million others go, okay. But if it’s just Ilhan because you want to make a point to own the libs on X, I’m sorry, that’s not enough for me,” Lahren concluded.
Lahren has previously spoken out on Mullin failing at his job when she called out Homeland Security for bragging about 350,000 deportations in 2026.
“It’s not secret to our audience I’m very fired up about this. I, for the life of me, can’t figure out why DHS is flexing over 350,000 deportations in nearly a year,” Lahren stated. “That doesn’t sound like mass deportations to me, in any sense of the word.”
Mullin Under Fire
This isn’t the first time Mullin faced criticism from conservatives.
Mullin spoke out in favor of amnesty, said illegal aliens whose Temporary Protected Status Trump revoked could apply to remain in America, and halted ICE traffic stops, which are responsible for 90 percent of immigration arrests before Trump reversed him.
Many Trump supporters are wondering if Mullin is the establishment’s mole inside the Trump administration sabotaging the mass deportation agenda.
Lahren’s comments will only add fuel to that fire.
