Vice President JD Vance took center stage and offered America a glimpse of the future.
The left is running scared at what they see.
And that’s because JD Vance spoke one line that struck fear in the hearts of every Democrat.
JD Vance’s Star Turn
The Republican Convention in Dallas’ stated goal was to fire up the party base and frame the contours of the 2026 midterm election as a contest of Trump’s achievements versus a communist Democrat Party.
That all happened.
But the star of the convention was Vice President Vance and his keynote address on the second night, which sounded a lot like a preview of the acceptance speech he will give two years from now at the Republican National Convention as the GOP nominee for President.
In his speech, Vance stressed American children’s birthright to their culture and the dream of prosperity.
“Every American child is born an heir, born with the right to inherit the blessings of the greatest country on Earth — not because of who their parents are, what they look like or where they come from, but because they are Americans and this is our country,” Vance declared.
Vance said defending the birthright of American children was the core of the GOP message.
“And that birthright, ladies and gentlemen, is what this November is all about,” Vance added.
Vance contrasted Republicans as the party of birthright Americans to Democrats as the party of foreigners and America haters that want to tear the country down and remake it in the image of the third world.
“The Democrats are the party of hatred,” Vance exclaimed. “They’re the party that despises America and the people who built it.”
Vance created the viral highlight of the convention when he told a Mexican flag-waving protester he would pay for him to fly back to Mexico, since that was the country he loved so much.
“Well, my friend, if you love Mexico so much, GET YOUR ASS OVER THERE! I’ll buy you the plane ticket!” Vance remarked.
The GOP is Coalescing Around Vance
Vance’s speech showed he planned to build on President Trump’s legacy of building a working-class coalition.
Prior to the convention, Vance supported a rule that change that would make two-parent households eligible for up to $9,000 for childcare that was previously only available to single mothers.
Vance’s vision of a GOP that looks out for the interests of working-class parents and birthright Americans received a raucous reception from the GOP grassroots and hinted that the 2028 GOP primary wouldn’t be much of a contest at all.
“Dallas’ electric reception of his speech exemplified the private urgency top Republicans brought to the convention in the hope of mapping out their party’s future. To many, the VP’s address felt like a presidential nomination acceptance speech he might give two years from now,” POLITICO reported.
Vance was met with chants of “48” when he spoke to delegates from the key states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
The donor class is on board as Vance raked in a whopping $2 million by headlining a fundraiser.
Vance supporters are beginning to feel that his ascendance in 2028 as the heir to the Trump movement is inevitable.
“It sure feels like it’s not in question that it’ll be him,” a person who spent time with Vance supporters in Dallas told POLITICO. “It’s hard to describe. Like an aura that they know they are next.”
“It has definitely been the Trump show, understandably,” the person went on to say. But “people [are] beginning to think more seriously about what the next campaign looks like, how JD will campaign and lead, etc.”
