Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez filed One Piece of Paper That Could Lead to A New Job

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez entered Congress in 2019 as one of the biggest stars in the Democrat Party.

But Ocasio-Cortez has her eyes set on a new position.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez filed one piece of paper that could lead to a new job.

As Great American Daily reports:

As soon as Ocasio-Cortez won her seat in the House of Representatives the corporate media set out to build Ocasio-Cortez up into a national figure.

Despite the fact that Ocasio-Cortez pushed Democrats to take politically toxic positions on defunding ICE and the police, Ocasio-Cortez’s cheering section in the liberal media presented her as a future senator or president.

And Ocasio-Cortez happily played along telling Vanity Fair she did not see herself as a lifer in the House of Representatives.

“I don’t know if I’m really going to be staying in the House forever, or if I do stay in the House, what that would look like,” Ocasio-Cortez stated. “I don’t see myself really staying where I’m at for the rest of my life.”

By 2020 Ocasio-Cortez was openly speculating about running for higher office.

Ocasio-Cortez said she did not “want to aspire to a quote-unquote higher position just for the sake of that title or just for the sake of having a different or higher position.”

But Ocasio-Cortez did say she would run for Senate or president if she thought she could make a difference.

“I truly make an assessment to see if I can be more effective,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “And so, you know, I don’t know if I could necessarily be more effective in an administration, but, for me, that’s always what the question comes down to.”

That opportunity may soon present itself.

Ocasio-Cortez filed for re-election in the House just two months after the midterm elections.

But she may have her sights set on a bigger prize.

In a post-election interview with The New York Times Ocasio-Cortez expressed her belief that the red wave that did hit New York — Republicans won the majority in the House by virtue of sweeping the toss-up seats — meant it was time to rebuild the state’s Democrat Party machine.

“I don’t feel caught off guard. I don’t feel like my reality has been upended. Others may feel more surprised with this. I feel very cleareyed about what the path should be ahead. We should rebuild the New York State Democratic Party and if that is a structure that refuses to be reformed, we rebuild and replace,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.

New York Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is up for re-election in 2024.

And if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does not want to stick around the House of Representatives forever and rebuild the Democrat machine in New York, challenging Gillibrand in a primary may present the opening Ocasio-Cortez is looking for.
