The Democrat Party’s lawfare against Donald Trump presents major risks.
Liberals aren’t considering the consequences.
Barack Obama could go to jail forever because of what Donald Trump just discovered.
In a desperate attempt to maintain his grip on power Joe Biden took the unprecedented step of weaponizing the justice system and unleashing partisan prosecutors against Donald Trump.
An April 2022 New York Times story revealed Joe Biden ranting to close advisors that Attorney General Merrick Garland wasn’t moving fast enough to arrest and jail Trump over the events of January 6.
“As recently as late last year, Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments. And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action over the events of Jan. 6,” the Times reported.
Garland got the message and once Trump announced he was running for re-election Garland appointed rogue prosecutor Jack Smith as special counsel to bring down Trump.
Smith soon indicted Trump on the tortured legal theory that Trump exercising his First Amendment rights to free speech and petitioning the government partook in a criminal conspiracy to deny the rights of the American people to have their votes count.
Barack Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan dismissed Trump’s motion to throw out the charges on the grounds of presidential immunity, the doctrine that holds presidents cannot be held liable in criminal or civil cases for actions taken in their official capacity.
That’s another norm Democrats destroyed in their fanatical quest to stop Trump from winning re-election.
Donald Trump showed Democrats the dangerous territory the left’s crusade against him pushed the country into by sharing a post on Truth Social from Mike Davis, a former chief counsel for nominations on the Senate Judiciary Committee and current president of the Article III Project.
Davis wrote that since presidential immunity is no longer a thing Barack Obama could now face murder charges for killing a 16-year-old American citizen in a drone bombing back in 2011.
“So Democrat judges in DC suddenly pretend President Trump doesn’t enjoy presidential immunity, like all of his predecessors for 250 years?” Davis wrote.
“Does that mean the Trump 47 Justice Department can indict President Obama for his extrajudicial murder of a 16-year-old American citizen?” Davis added.
In 2011 Obama ordered the assassination of American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki.
The government designated al-Awlaki as an al-Qaeda operative, but American citizens still enjoy the rights of due process and a jury trial.
“In our country, even if you are a terrible person, if you are murderer or a rapist, you are accused, but then you’re given a chance to confront tour accusers. The burden is on the government. There has to be a burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt,” Kentucky Senator Rand Paul told CNN about al-Awlaki’s killing back in 2015.
Two weeks later Obama ordered a second drone bombing that killed al-Awlaki’s 16-year-old son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki.
Davis believes Democrats need to live under the rules they created.
And Davis believes that Democrats opened the door to criminal charges for past presidents of their party.
Trump is trying to warn Democrats to stand down on the weaponization of the government as it only serves to further polarize and divide America.
But it’s not clear that message is getting through.
