Liz Cheney is a persona non grata in the Republican Party.

But Cheney still believes she has a role to play in the upcoming presidential election.

And Liz Cheney stunned Rachel Maddow with this big 2024 announcement.

Liz Cheney admitted the years she spent claiming she was the last stalwart defender of conservative values in Washington were all a lie.

Instead, Cheney proclaimed none of the issues conservatives care about are as important as making sure Donald Trump never serves as president again.

Cheney appeared on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show and said it would be worth it for Democrats to maintain full control of government, allowing them to impose the Green New Deal, grant amnesty to illegal aliens, ban guns, and pack the Supreme Court if it meant beating Trump.

“I think certainly Trump is the most significant threat but I think that, you know, we’re facing an emergency across the board. I think people need to think about, first of all, running for office themselves. I say that with great seriousness. You know, we need, if you look at the threats our country is facing, we need serious people in office. I don’t care if you agree with me or you disagree with me on any range of issues. If you are going to fight for the Constitution and you are going to defend the Constitution and you are going to be a serious and faithful public servant, then please run for office, please vote for people that will do that,” Cheney began.

Cheney warned Democrats and the D.C. swamp that Trump and his team are better prepared to wield power if Trump wins in 2024 and that the establishment can’t count on the Deep State to frustrate Trump’s America First agenda.

“If you look at the extent to which some of the Trump forces are organized from the local level up to the presidency, those of us who believe in the Constitution and who are going to defend the democracy have to be organized in the same way. It means being willing to set aside other issues, and it means making sure that when you cast your vote, you are not doing it based on partisanship. It means helping to educate people and talking to people about how gravely perilous and significant this moment is,” Cheney continued.

But Cheney doth protests too much.

It’s really Cheney and the creatures of the D.C. swamp who are the real threat to democracy.

As a member of the January 6 committee, Cheney encouraged the weaponization of the government by voting to refer Donald Trump to Joe Biden’s Justice Department for criminal prosecution.

Republicans slammed Biden for turning federal law enforcement into his own personal secret police to target a political opponent who could defeat Biden in the next election.

Liz Cheney supported the ruling party utilizing the police powers of the state to interfere in the election and take away the people’s right to pick their own leaders.

And that is the real threat to democracy.
