Marjorie Taylor Greene unveils censure resolution against Rashida Tlaib

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is now a major political problem for the Democrat Party.

Tlaib is about to find out that uncomfortable fact of life for herself.

And Rashida Tlaib is in deep trouble after what Marjorie Taylor Greene just announced.

The American people are getting an up-close-and-personal view of just how pervasive anti-Semitism is on the left in the wake of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.

Hamas jihadists butchered 1,300 innocent Israelis including chopping the heads off babies.

But the sympathy among Democrats – especially young leftists in big cities and college campuses – is with the Hamas terrorists.

That support for Hamas also extends to the halls of Congress.

Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar seized on claims by Hamas that the Israeli Defense Forces bombed a hospital in Gaza and killed 50 innocents to claim America and Israel support genocide against peaceful Muslims.

“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that. @POTUS  this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire &  help de-escalate. Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood,” Tlaib posted online.

Evidence later conclusively showed that a misfired Palestinian rocket caused the explosion at the hospital.

Omar offered a mealy-mouthed apology, but Tlaib kept repeating Hamas propaganda about the hospital explosion.

Tlaib then spoke at a pro-Hamas rally which led to Hamas supporters storming the Capitol in an act of insurrection.

Greene proposed a resolution to censure Tlaib for her Hamas sympathies and role in the insurrection.

“By leading an anti-American and anti-Semitic insurrection on October 18, 2023, Rashida Tlaib followed Hezbollah’s orders to carry out a day of unprecedented anger,” Greene said in a speech on the U.S. House floor. “Now therefore be it resolved that Representative Rashida Tlaib be censured, Representative Rashida Tlaib forthwith present herself in the well of the House of Representatives for the pronouncement of censure, and Representative Rashida Tlaib be censured with the public reading of this resolution by the speaker.”

But Democrats can’t denounce Tlaib and her brand of anti-Semitism.

That’s because Omar spoke for the party’s grassroots and defended Tlaib for her pro-Hamas stance.

“We lovingly call @RashidaTlaib Mama Bear, because she is loving and protective. She shows humanity to colleagues who constantly dehumanize her and those who share our faith. She loves the people she represents regardless of who they are,” Omar wrote on X.

“I am my sister’s keeper and I will walk through fire for her. I admire her leadership and conviction. People can harass or try to censure her, but she will never be forced into submission. None of us will,” Omar concluded.

If Democrats don’t show enough deference to Hamas and the Palestinians, Muslim voters in key states like Michigan may stay home in November which could cost Joe Biden the election.

But in rallying around Tlaib, Democrats also show the broader electorate that a known anti-Semite is welcomed into the tent and protected at all costs.
