What Sean Hannity Just Admitted In Court Could Ruin Fox News

Fox News is in trouble.

The network is facing a billion-dollar lawsuit.

And what Sean Hannity just admitted in court could ruin Fox News.

As Great American Daily reports:

Dominion Voting Systems sued Fox News for nearly two billion dollars over hosts repeating on air Sidney Powell’s false claims that the company’s voting machines switched millions of votes from Donald Trump to Joe Biden.

Hannity testified in the defamation trial due to an interview he conducted with Powell where Powell aired her claims.

Dominion’s attorneys are trying to show that Fox News hosts provided oxygen for Powell’s claims despite privately not believing them.

On the stand Hannity admitted that he never once thought there was one shred of proof to back up Powell’s claims.

The New York Times reports:

At the center of this imagined plot were machines from Dominion Voting Systems, which Ms. Powell claimed ran an algorithm that switched votes for Mr. Trump to votes for Joseph R. Biden Jr. Dominion machines, she insisted, were being used “to trash large batches of votes.”

Mr. Hannity interrupted her with a gentle question that had been circulating among election deniers, despite a lack of supporting proof: Why were Democrats silencing whistle blowers who could prove this fraud?

Did Mr. Hannity believe any of this?

“I did not believe it for one second.”

Even Donald Trump and his campaign eventually wanted nothing to do with Powell.

Powell won admiration on the right for fighting Michael Flynn’s abusive treatment by Robert Mueller and withdrawing a guilty plea.

But Powell went off the deep end during a November 20 press conference at the Republican National Committee where Powell alleged an international conspiracy involving Communist China and Venezuela to hack into Dominion machines and change the result of the election.

Trump reportedly told top aide Hope Hicks “this does sound crazy, doesn’t it?” following the press conference.

And Trump’s legal team disavowed Powell.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity,” Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis wrote in a statement issued on November 22.

This lawsuit by Dominion is a dangerous attack on the First Amendment.

Fox News defended itself by stating that its hosts were merely reporting claims made by newsworthy figures.

Sidney Powell claimed association with the president of the United States’ legal team and even appeared at the Republican Party’s official Washington headquarters to air her claims.

Dominion also filed similar billion-dollar defamation lawsuits against conservative TV networks One America News and Newsmax.

And many on the right fear these lawsuits are really designed to bankrupt conservative media outlets so there is no longer an alternative to the corporate media’s left-wing propaganda machine.
