Secret audio tape boosts Trump’s defense in 2020 election trial

Joe Biden and the Democrats put Donald Trump on trial to interfere with the 2024 election.

But Biden and his prosecutors got some bad news.

And this secret audio tape just proved Donald Trump’s innocence.

The central argument of Biden prosecutor Jack Smith’s bogus criminal case against Donald Trump was that Trump incited the melee on January 6 as part of a criminal conspiracy to prevent Congress from certifying the results of the 2020 election.

One of the central maneuvers of Smith’s tortured mental gymnastics in this indictment is the false claim – first put forth by the January 6 committee – that Trump sat back and watched the riot unfold and did nothing until posting a video late in the day telling his supporters to go home.

But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

A previously unaired audio of an interview Trump sat for with left-wing activist Jonathan Karl of ABC News showed Trump told Karl he wanted to go to the Capitol to tell his supporters to go home but that the Secret Service prevented him from doing so.

“I was going to and then Secret Service said you can’t, and then by the time— I would have, and then when I get back, I saw— I wanted to go back. I was thinking about going back during the problem to stop the problem, doing it myself. Secret Service didn’t like that idea too much,” Trump told Karl.

“And I could have done that, and you know what? I would have been very well received. Don’t forget, the people that went to Washington that day, in my opinion, they went because they thought the election was rigged. That’s why they went,” Trump continued.

And contrary to the fake narrative that Smith and the January 6 committee peddled, Trump posted multiple tweets throughout the afternoon of January 6 asking his supporters to stay peaceful and to go home.

“Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!” Trump wrote at 2:39 p.m.

“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!” Trump posted at 3:14 p.m.

“These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!” Trump wrote at 4:01 p.m.

Jack Smith wants a gag order on Trump because Smith knows the more Trump talks about these cases in public and on social media the more obvious it is to the American people that the charges are a politically motivated act of desperation by the Biden administration.

Joe Biden’s trailing in the polls and can’t run on his record so Biden enlisted partisan prosecutors like Smith to wage lawfare against Trump to knock him out of the 2024 race.

And the last thing Smith wants is the so-called “evidence” in the case aired in the court of public opinion.
