Alina Habba slammed Joe Biden donor and Democrat Judge Juan Merchan for laying a trap for his fellow Democrat Alvin Bragg to jail Trump on a violation of an unconstitutional gag order.
Merchan fined Trump $9,000 for violations of the order after Trump defended himself over political attacks from Michael Cohen and for pointing out how Biden colluded with Bragg’s office to bring a sham criminal indictment against him for the purposes of election interference.
“Let’s be clear what we are talking about,” Habba began in response to a question from Fox News host Martha MacCallum about the gag order.
Habba added that Trump is the Republican nominee for President and is being put on trial by the Democrat Party for fake crimes a partisan prosecutor invented out of thin air.
Trump is facing political attacks in this trial from Michael Cohen where the judge banned him from responding under the threat of spending 30 days in the notoriously violent Riker’s Island.
“We are talking about a defendant in a criminal case who’s being attacked politically, who’s being attacked by his opponents, who’s also being attacked by witnesses,” Habba continued.
“And the witnesses in this case have no gag,” Habba stated.
Habba also brought up the fact that neither she nor Trump’s campaign can discuss Judge Merchan’s conflict of interest.
Merchan’s daughter helps run a political consulting firm that does work for Democrats like Adam Schiff.
The Democrats whom Merchant’s daughter’s firm counts as a client stand to benefit by raising more money with Trump being on trial as well as potentially being convicted by this kangaroo court.
“That is the exact reason this judge needs to recuse,” Habba declared.
The gag order also prevents Trump or anyone who works on his legal team or campaign from discussing how Biden prosecutor Matthew Colangelo shifted from the Department of Justice to Bragg’s office.
Colangelo delivered the opening statements for the prosecution in Trump’s trial.
But Trump can’t defend himself from a politically motivated case by laying out the evidence that Joe Biden is behind the attempt to jail his political opponent on phantom criminal charges.
