This sports icon refused to keep quiet about what was happening to Trump.
He was urged by many to shut his mouth, but he stood up for justice instead.
And he spoke the truth about Trump’s unfair prosecution by the Democrats.
Sports stars are under heavy and constant pressure to support liberal causes or, at the very least, keep their mouth shut if they are secretly conservatives.
For example, San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa famously tweeted his support of Trump before being drafted but has kept his mouth shut since then.
But that pressure is doubled for members of the sports media. Sports journalists are actively encouraged to voice extreme left-wing viewpoints.
This is especially true on hot-button issues like abortion, gun control, or the candidacy of Donald Trump for president.
Stephen A. Smith, however, has been in the industry a long time and has made more than enough money. If he gets fired tomorrow, he and his family are still set for life.
For that reason, he is willing to go out on a limb and speak his mind like no other. And he shocked everyone when he defended Trump against his Democrat prosecutors.
According to Breitbart, “ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith blasted liberals for trying to destroy Donald Trump by launching an avalanche of nuisance lawsuits to ruin him and conducting ‘lawfare’ against the former president, all because they are ‘scared’ that they can’t beat him on the issues.”
“Smith pummeled liberals for their attacks on Trump during Tuesday’s episode of his The Stephen A. Smith Show, as Trump’s hush money trial went into its second day, Fox News reported.”
“The court’s day ended on April 16, and the first six jurors were chosen. They were set to continue that work on Wednesday.”
“But Smith was unimpressed by the whole case.”
Here is what Smith had to say: “It’s much ado about nothing. To my liberal friends out there, all you’re doing is showing that you’re scared you can’t beat him on the issues and the merits.”
This was a bold thing for him to say, as his employer is ESPN, which is known for its liberal politics and is owned by Disney.
But Smith is an icon in the sports media industry. He doesn’t care what people think.
The article continues, “The ESPN talker added that unless Trump is put in jail, these cases will make things worse in the country.”
It’s clear that the cases being brought against Trump are nothing more than a “Hail Mary” attempt by the Democrats to destroy Trump before the general election.
This attempt seems to be failing miserably, and Trump is currently leading in nearly all of the polls.
