Fani Willis is finding out that waging lawfare against Donald Trump could be the biggest mistake of her life.

Willis is facing accusations that could end any other prosecutor’s career.

And Fani Willis is facing this massive sex scandal that could change everything.

Judge Scott McAfee dealt a severe blow to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ RICO indictment against Donald Trump and 18 other co-defendants when he agreed to a hearing about disqualifying Willis from the case.

Trump co-defendant Michael Roman filed a motion to disqualify Willis and dismiss the charges on the basis of Willis creating a conflict of interest when she hired Nathan Wade, a man she’s in a sexual relationship with, as special prosecutor on the Trump case.

Roman alleged that Willis and Wade financially benefitted from the Trump case as Wade billed the county for $654,000 and then used some of the money to take Willis on vacation.

In her response to Roman’s motion, Willis and Wade both acknowledged the affair but claimed it only started after Wade’s contract with Fulton County began.

Judge McAfee ruled the allegations were serious enough to potentially “result in a disqualification” and scheduled a hearing on the matter.

“The state has admitted a relationship existed,” McAfee declared. “[W]hat remains to be proven is the existence and extent of any financial benefit, again, if there even was one. So because I think it’s possible that the facts alleged by the defendant could result in disqualification, I think an evidentiary hearing must occur to establish the record on those core allegations.”

McAfee said the main questions are when Wade and Willis began their sexual relationship and how long it continued.

“I think the issues that point here are, whether a relationship existed, whether that relationship was romantic or non-romantic in nature, when it formed, and whether it continues,” McAfee added. “That’s only relevant because it’s in combination with the question of the existence and extent of any personal benefit.”

Roman’s lawyer filed a response requesting to subpoena former Wade law partner Terrence Bradley to testify claiming he would contradict the sworn statements by Wade and Willis with testimony establishing that the affair began long before Willis and Wade began working on the Trump case.

Bank records from Wade’s divorce show him purchasing airline tickets as late as April 2023.

Judge McAfee disqualifying Willis in this case could prove fatal.

A judge previously disqualified Willis from prosecuting Georgia Lt. Governor Burt Jones in a so-called “fake electors” plot for attending a fundraiser for Jones’ election opponent.

That was in July 2022.

Georgia still hasn’t assigned a new prosecutor in that case 19 months later.

Should Judge McAfee disqualify Willis the odds are significant that no other prosecutor of sound mind would want to touch this case, or it could go away naturally if Trump wins the election, as the state of Georgia can’t prosecute a sitting president.
