Ilhan Omar led the charge of Democrats making fools of themselves during President Trump’s State of the Union.
Cameras caught Omar, jeering, cursing, and acting the fool.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) warned his caucus about bot acting out during the speech.
That’s because polls show Democrats are even more unpopular than President Trump, and Jeffries knows voters want to entrust power to crazy people.
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked Omar about why she melted down like a snowflake during Trump’s speech when leadership specifically asked that members not cause a scene.
“CNN reported before that speech that the House Democratic leader, Hakeem Jeffries, advised your caucus and Democratic members to either skip the State of the Union address or sit there in silence. Should you have just boycotted the address? And do you think you violated the guidelines set out by your own leader?” Bliztker asked.
Omar then admitted that she suffered from such a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that Trump talking about how the government should stand for American citizens triggered her.
Omar then blamed her outburst on law enforcement fatally shooting two violent agitators during the anti-ICE insurrection in Minneapolis.
“No, I think it was, really unavoidable. The president talked about protecting Americans. And I just had to remind him that his administration was responsible for killing two of my constituents,” Omar added.
Blitzer then brought up how Democrats would complain about how Republicans interrupted Joe Biden’s State of the Union and proceeded to ask Omar if she thought it was hypocritical to heckle Trump.
“In Minneapolis. Many members of your Democratic Party criticized their Republican counterparts when they interrupted President Biden’s State of the Union address, as many of us remember. Do you have any regrets at all about the interaction we played between you and President Trump just last night?” Blizter followed up.
Omar expressed no regrets over her fit of rage.
“I do not. And I think many people look at that moment when the president says it is our responsibility to protect Americans, and he does not acknowledge the fact that two Americans, two of my constituents, two of our neighbors, were killed. And it was important, for me, to just remind the American people that the president and his administration were responsible for killing two American citizens,” Omar concluded.
But to Democrats, the damage was done.
The image of Omar and other Democrats refusing to stand for the idea that the American government works for American citizens and not illegal aliens will appear in campaign commercials in the fall.
