Judge rejects Jack Smith’s accelerated trial schedule

Jack Smith knows his job is to put Donald Trump in jail.

Smith finds out this is harder than the thought to achieve.

And Jack Smith got the chilling news that will destroy his case against Trump.

Jack Smith is determined to get Donald Trump in a courtroom for one of his Soviet show trials before Election Day.

Smith has seen the same polls as everyone else.

A criminal conviction against Donald Trump is Joe Biden’s clearest path to victory.

And Smith is determined to do whatever he can to leverage the awesome power of a weaponized justice system to interfere in the election and help Joe Biden win.

The Supreme Court has the 2020 election case in Washington, D.C.  – Jack Smith’s best chance to win as the outcome is rigged thanks to the most Democrat jury pool in the nation – on ice as it waits to hear Donald Trump’s appeal to dismiss the charges over presidential immunity.

But Jack Smith has one more crack at Trump – the Mar-a-Lago documents case.

The case was initially scheduled for May 20.

Judge Aileen Cannon paused pre-trial proceedings because Trump was preparing for the D.C. case.

Since the D.C. case is on pause, the Mar-a-Lago case is moving again and Judge Cannon scheduled a hearing for both sides to submit a new proposed trial date and schedule.

Smith never missed a chance to expose the fact that he is Joe Biden’s hired gun and suggested a July 8 start date.

Trump’s lawyers countered that it is unfair to start the trial before the election, but if it had to start, they proposed an August 12 kickoff.

Judge Cannon didn’t sound happy at all with Smith trying to rush this case to court and claiming the court could run through as many as 13 pre-trial motions in a matter of days.

“A lot of work needs to be done in the pretrial phase of this case,” Cannon told Smith’s prosecutors.

Smith’s team didn’t win any points when they tried to suggest Cannon was running a lackadaisical court.

“I can assure you that, in the building, there’s a good deal of judicial work going on,” Cannon told the prosecution.

Smith’s lawyers whined that the dates Trump’s team suggested were “fake dates” as pre-trial motions and appeals would surely move the case past Election Day.

“What it really seems to me is that those were fake dates and really almost bad faith dates,” prosecutor Jay Bratt whined. “We just need to bring this case to trial this summer.”

Trump’s lawyers moved in for checkmate noting that Smith can’t explain why this trial must start before Election Day as well as what the harm would be if it begins after the election.

“The real question the special counsel hasn’t answered is whether they agree it would be complete election interference [to hold a trial] around the time of the election,” Trump attorney Todd Blanche stated.

Jack Smith wants this trial on the calendar as soon as possible so he can get this prosecution and the D.C. case in before Election Day.

Smith knows the Florida case takes place in a jurisdiction with a majority of Trump voters and there is a good chance a jury would nullify the charges after seeing the Biden Justice Department let Joe Biden off on the same charges the DOJ wants to see Trump die in prison for.

A July trial date lets Smith squeeze in this case and the D.C. case – where conviction is guaranteed – before the election so as to give himself two chances to help Joe Biden.

But Judge Cannon is an actual judge and not some Democrat Party activist.

Cannon’s comments and questions to the prosecution suggest she will slate her trial for late summer which will block out any chance of the D.C. trial happening before the election.

That isn’t even the end of the defeat for Smith and the Democrats as the pre-trial schedule in the documents case also makes it next to impossible to start this trial before the election.
