New York Attorney General Letitia James is on the warpath.

James won’t relent in her lawfare against Donald Trump.

And Letitia James delivered an ultimatum to Trump that he was going to hate.

Democrat Judge Arthur Engoron awarded Letitia James a $364 million settlement in her civil fraud lawsuit against the Trump Organization for supposedly inflating the value of its assets to obtain more favorable loan terms.

With interest, the penalty runs as high as $460 million.

And James told ABC News she is prepared to begin seizing Trump’s properties to satisfy the judgment.

“If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,” James declared in an interview with ABC News.

James told ABC she has her eyes on Trump’s prized property at 40 Wall Street as one she would like the government to seize and sell off to satisfy Engoron’s politically motivated judgment.

“We are prepared to make sure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers, and yes, I look at 40 Wall Street each and every day,” James continued.

James campaigned for attorney general in 2018 on a promise to turn her office into a hub of political persecutions of Donald Trump.

This lawsuit served as the culmination of that campaign pledge.

James never produced any evidence of a crime.

James produced no evidence Donald Trump even defrauded anyone.

Bank executives testified they did their own due diligence on the values of Trump’s properties and walked away satisfied Trump could meet the terms of the loan.

And Trump paid back all of his loans on time and the banks profited from the transactions.

No prosecutor has ever used New York’s civil fraud statute in this manner before.

James tried to justify her case by claiming Trump committed financial fraud.

“Financial frauds are not victimless crimes. He engaged in this massive amount of fraud. It wasn’t just a simple mistake, a slight oversight, the variations are wildly exaggerated, and the extent of the fraud was staggering,” James continued. “If average New Yorkers went into a bank and submitted false documents, the government would throw the book at them, and the same should be true for former presidents.”

But no one is actually claiming they were the victim of fraud.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul trying to reassure investors that New York wouldn’t use this law as a seek-and-destroy weapon only confirmed that this was a one-time politically motivated case designed to get Donald Trump.

James may have cut off her nose to spite her face.

Kevin O’Leary – one of the stars of the hit show “Shark Tank” – told Fox News he’s done with New York, and he’s talked to other investors who see this law as the financial equivalent of using a nuclear bomb.

They want no part of New York because no one is sure at what point criticizing the Democrat Party puts your business and livelihood at risk.
