Mitch McConnell Vanished and this Medical Emergency led to One Unthinkable Rumor

Something happened to Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell.

The story shook Washington, DC.

And Mitch McConnell vanished and this medical emergency led to one unthinkable rumor.

Rumors About McConnell’s Medical Condition Run Wild

McConnell was rushed to the hospital on June 14 after he was found unconscious in his home.

McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Independent journalist Laura Loomer posted on X that the reason McConnell’s office didn’t release any photos of McConnell was that he was “officially brain dead.”

“Mitch McConnell is officially brain dead. He’s not coming back,” Loomer wrote on X.

Loomer added that life support is keeping McConnell in a vegetative state and that his wife Elaine Chao recently traveled to China, where she met with a top Communist Party official.

“Mitch McConnell is being kept ‘alive’ by life support machines, but my White House source told me McConnell is in organ failure, and as I reported, source told me he has allegedly been declared a vegetable (brain dead) by doctors and the White House has been told ‘McConnell isn’t ever coming back,’” Loomer added.

“Officially brain dead, organ failure is accelerating, life support machine is keeping him ‘alive’ but his brain is officially dead and his wife @ElaineChao has fled the country to China. I wonder if she brought any of his documents or briefings with her to China,” Loomer continued.

Some conservatives speculated that McConnell’s office kept his condition under wraps because Kentucky state law would require a special election to fill any vacancy that arises before August 3rd.

Independent journalist Desiree Townsend claimed she confirmed Loomer’s scoop that McConnell was brain dead.

“I have heard the same thing from my sources for days. At this point, I am at the hospital for when they eventually decide to move cut him off of life support and move his body. His Capitol police detail is still here as of 3:39pm ET,” Townsend wrote on X.

Bizarre Claims of Proof of Life

Establishment Republicans then rushed to social media to claim McConnell was alive and well.

But what struck many as odd about the statements from CNN commentator and former McConnell staffer Scott Jennings, and Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, was that both claimed to have had a “20-minute” phone call with McConnell and neither offered any evidence of McConnell’s well-being beyond that.

“I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes … about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation in MAINE, my visit to the TR Presidential Library, and even a little bit of Senate history. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible,” Jennings wrote on X.

Scripps reporter Nathaniel Reed reported “NEW via Majority Whip Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) spox Kate Noyes: “Senator Barrasso and Senator McConnell had a lengthy conversation early this afternoon. Their phone call lasted roughly 20 minutes… Senator McConnell was fully engaged and is eager to get back to the Senate.”

None of these claims of speaking with McConnell were accompanied by audio or video of McConnell.

And when CNN host Kasie Hunt told Jennings McConnell was welcome to call into her show to offer an update on his condition, Jennings quickly changed the subject.
