Every Republican likes to act like President Trump is their best friend.
But behind closed doors, their true feelings come out.
And the RINO sellout who sucker punched Trump in private just got exposed in this bad way.
RINO Congressman Mike Lawler recently voted for a bill to grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of Haitian migrants that Barack Obama smuggled into America back in 2010.
Lawler also sponsored the so-called “Dignity Act,” which would grant amnesty to every single illegal alien who arrived in America before 2021.
But now Lawler is presenting himself as the face of MAGA and President Trump’s champion in Congress.
Former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene told Tucker Carlson that it wasn’t always this way.
Greene revealed that when Lawler first won election to Congress in 2022, he came to Washington as one of the establishment RINOs who would mock Trump in private and make fun of Greene for supporting Trump in the 2024 campaign.
“And I was like, “Wow, what is going on with this guy?” And it turns out he did win his race. It was a narrow victory, but he did win it. And of course, he instantly came into the House of Representatives, completely bought and paid for by all of the establishment donor class that had supported him. He hated Donald Trump, made fun of him constantly, mimicked him, making fun of his voice. He used to attack me, make fun of me, come and find me on the House floor, and make fun of me for supporting Donald Trump, and this was in the four years before Trump got elected as president again in 2024,” Greene stated.
In addition to championing amnesty, Lawler supported the FISA Act, which the Deep State used to spy on President Trump’s 2016 Presidential campaign and backed Joe Biden’s blank check for the war in Ukraine.
Lawler’s apostasies against conservatism led Greene to tell Carlson that Lawler was essentially a Democrat.
“And I was just like this guy is literally one of the worst– well, I would say he’s the worst, but really Randy Fine is the worst. But Mike Lawler was unbelievably– I thought he was a Democrat. I was like, he’s literally a Democrat. He’s so against all the things that Republican voters care about, and he clearly hates Donald Trump,” Greene added.
Carlson asked Greene what changed.
Greene said Lawler flipped when Trump won in 2024, and Lawler saw he could immediately begin lobbying Trump to back his amnesty bills.
“I saw this unbelievable change in him, and of course, it happened after Trump won his primary in 2024,” Greene stated. “All of a sudden, Mike Lawler, I started joking. I started calling him MAGA Mike Lawler because he was all of a sudden becoming Trump’s biggest supporter.”
