Democrats are turning on John Fetterman.
But a Washington shocker may be in the works.
And Sean Hannity made one offer to John Fetterman that struck Chuck Schumer like a thunderbolt.
As Great American Digest reports:
Democrats believe they are on the verge of flipping the four GOP-held Senate seats necessary to win back a majority.
Chuck Schumer’s running the Senate also means Democrats can block any Trump Supreme Court nominees.
But President Trump put a backup plan in motion. And that was to convince Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman to switch parties or register as an independent and caucus with the Republicans, as either way would keep Republicans in charge of the Senate.
“Trump has made the sell, offering his patented total and complete endorsement plus a financial windfall to the Pennsylvanian. A handful of Senate Republicans are also gently feeling out Fetterman and responding to his concerns over the prospect of defecting from the Democratic Party, multiple high-level GOP officials tell me,” POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin reported.
Trump even dispatched Sean Hannity to sell Fetterman on the idea of leaving the Democratic Party with the promise of the full backing of Trump’s political machine when Fetterman runs for re-election in 2028.
“Your job is to tell him: He’s gonna run as a Republican, he’s gonna have our full support, more money than he ever dreamed of, and he’s gonna win big,” Hannity told Martin of his pitch to Fetterman.
Republicans thought Fetterman was in play because of his staunch support for Israel, which alienated Democrats, as his poll numbers are now higher with Republicans.
But in a Washington Post op-ed, Fetterman put the party-switching talk to rest and made it clear he was remaining a Democrat even though he criticized his own party.
While he may wave an Israeli flag in public, Fetterman is still a woke, socialist “Bernie Bro” who supports abortion on demand, transgender surgeries for kids, gun control, and amnesty for illegal aliens.
“My values have not changed, and I have always turned to those kinds of ideals that defined being a Democrat. I remain strongly pro-choice, pro-weed, pro-LGBT, pro-SNAP, pro-labor, and even pro-rib-eye over bio slop,” Fetterman wrote.
“Being an independent voice that works with the other side to deliver for Pennsylvanians might put me at odds with the party that I have stayed committed to and have no plans to leave — but I will continue to put the commonwealth and the country first,” Fetterman added.
“Plus, I’d be a terrible Republican who still votes overwhelmingly with Democrats,” Fetterman continued.
The irony of Fetterman getting offered the chance to vote like a Democrat while pretending to be a Republican is that it would make him a perfect fit in a Senate GOP caucus filled with RINOs like John Thune, Lisa Murkowski, Bill Cassidy, Johny Cornyn, and Susan Collins.
