Supreme Court rejects bid to ban Trump from the ballot

Democrats got some bad news that they were dreading.

Their lawfare is failing.

And the Supreme Court devastated Democrats with this sweeping defeat.

Democrats won a 4-3 majority on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court last April when radical left-wing activist Janet Protasiewicz romped to victory after far-left groups poured tens of millions of dollars into the race.

National Democrats targeted this election so they could file a lawsuit to force the state to adopt pro-Democrat maps in the state Legislature and Congress.

Thanks to Justice Protasiewicz’s presence on the Court, Republicans in the Legislature had to accept state House maps drawn by left-wing Governor Tony Evers.

But Democrats suffered a setback when the Court refused to take up a challenge to the maps for the state’s eight congressional districts.

“The decision not to hear the congressional challenge comes after the court in December ordered new legislative maps, saying the Republican-drawn ones were unconstitutional. The GOP-controlled Legislature, out of fear that the court would order maps even more unfavorable to Republicans, passed ones drawn by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers. He signed those into law on Feb. 19 and urged the court to take up the congressional map challenge,” POLITICO reports.

Republicans hold six of the eight seats and Democrats hoped they could cement a majority in the House before the election even happens by forcing a map that guarantees Democrat victory in at least two more districts by redrawing them to be liberal strongholds.

But Justice Protasiewicz had to recuse herself since the case began before she won her election to Court.

This decision – however – was just temporary comfort for Republicans.

Two of the Court’s conservatives – Chief Justice Annette Ziegler and Justice Rebecca Bradley – warned that Democrats would return as soon as possible for a second bite at the apple.

Ziegler and Bradley wrote that “it likely won’t be long until the new majority flexes its political power again to advance a partisan agenda despite the damage inflicted on the independence and integrity of the court.”

Barack Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder formed the National Democratic Redistricting Committee to target elections for officeholders who hold power over redrawing congressional and state House maps.

Wisconsin is a pivotal battleground in the left’s war to eliminate competitive elections in America.

When Democrats say they want a fair map, it doesn’t mean they want district lines that allow both parties to be competitive and let the chips fall where they may when voters cast their ballots.

What Democrats want is to cement a one-party state by installing partisan activists on state courts and redistricting commissions.
