One of the most remarkable events of President Trum’‘s term in office transpired.
Americans rejoiced at the news.
And God was watching over. Trump’s Easter miracle story is breathtaking.
Iran tried to claim a propaganda victory in the war with America when it shot down an F15 fighter jet.
The pilot and the weapons crew members ejected and landed inside Iran.
American forces quickly recovered the pilot, but the race was on to rescue the crew member before Iranian forces could capture him and parade him in front of cameras as a hostage.
For 48 hours, Americans sat on pins and needles, praying for the safe return of the crewman.
On Easter Sunday, those prayers were answered when American special forces completed a dramatic rescue mission.
Without sustaining any casualties, special forces landed in Iran and constructed a makeshift base and runway so rescue planes could transport the crewman and special forces back to Kuwait.
The special forces completed what was hailed as the most complex special forces mission in American history while engaging in a firefight that left over 100 Iranian fighters dead.
In an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, President Trump hailed the mission as an “Easter Miracle.”
“The rescue was an Easter Miracle. The enemy was large and violent. The rescuers were brilliant, strong, decisive, and as cool as anyone can be,” Trump declared.
“The Iranians thought they had him, but it wasn’t even close, and remember, we got two, but couldn’t talk about the first, in that it would have highlighted that there was a second,” Trump continued.
At a press conference the following day, Trump praised the special forces operators that carried out the mission as exemplifying the American military spirit of leave no man behind.
“But in the United States military, we leave no American behind; we don’t do it. So in a breathtaking show of skill and precision, lethality and force, America’s military descended on the area, the real area, engaged the enemy, rescued the stranded officer, destroyed all threats, and exited Iranian territory while taking no casualties of any kind,” Trump added.
“The heroic F-15 weapons system officer had evaded capture on the ground in Iran. For almost 48 hours, that’s a long time when you’re in tough shape and when you’re bleeding. It’s a long time,” Trump continued.
Polls show that Americans are divided on the war.
Many Americans support President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran, and others disagree.
But what all Americans agree on is that they stand in awe of the effectiveness, determination, and grit of the members of the U.S. military.
