The SAVE Act Stalls in the Senate
Republicans in the Senate are killing the SAVE Act by allowing Democrats to filibuster the bill.
President Trump has repeatedly called on Republicans to flex their majority’s muscle and change the rules to terminate the filibuster so they can pass the SAVE Act with a simple majority vote.
Trump declared that Republicans would be guaranteed victory in the midterms if the Senate passed the SAVE Act since the bill would eliminate Democrat election fraud by banning mass mail-in voting, requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote, and mandating voter ID in every state.
But RINO Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) refuses to whip the votes to abolish the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act.
Trump refused to give up and proceeded to call on Republicans to include the SAVE Act in a new reconciliation bill for additional defense spending that would could also pass on a majority vote and avoid a filibuster.
“We must pass Reconciliation 3.0, with 350 Billion Dollars for Defense, plus THE SAVE AMERICA ACT! I am calling on House and Senate Leadership to make this their Number One Priority, and ensure that 350 Billion Dollars in Recon 3.0 moves out of the Budget Committee as soon as Congress is back in session. The SAVE AMERICA ACT, which everyone is asking for, paired with the full funding of our Great Department of War, can be passed very quickly, ensuring that the United States of America stays FREE for Generations to come,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump’s Prediction if the Senate Fails to Pass the SAVE Act
The President warned Republicans they would live to regret not ditching the filibuster to send the SAVE Act to his desk for signature.
Trump predicted that if the GOP didn’t junk the filibuster, Democrats would, the second they take power, impose a series of power grabs, including court packing , voting rights for illegal aliens, and adding new blue states, that would make it impossible for Republicans to win an election ever again.
Under that scenario, Trump warned he would be the last Republican President in American history.
“There is nothing Americans can’t do except get Voter ID (Identification), Proof of Citizenship or, most importantly of all, TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER (which the Democrats will do immediately upon gaining Office, and add 2 more States, 4 more Senators, 8 more Congressmen, at least 20 Electoral Votes, and it will be impossible for a Republican to ever be elected President again. I don’t want to be the last Republican President!). GET SMART REPUBLICANS, IF YOU DON’T, YOU WON’T BE IN OFFICE FOR LONG!” Trump posted to Truth Social.
