Kamala Harris had the most embarrassing moment of her life.

She could not believe what happened to her in a public place.

And now she’s left hiding her face in shame after everyone laughed at her.

Whenever Kamala Harris is allowed to speak off-the-cuff in public, bad things tend to happen.

She gets nervous and often blurts out things she later comes to regret. She also has a tendency to start laughing when she gets uncomfortable, especially in serious situations.

But her latest mistake is a remarkably embarrassing one.

She was attempting to talk about women’s college basketball, which has been pushed especially hard by the media over the past few months mostly thanks to one player people enjoy watching, Caitlin Clark.

But in her rush to make women’s basketball players seem like victims, she had an embarrassing slip of the tongue.

She made a laughable comment that was easily disproved and sparked widespread mockery of her by countless people online.

According to Mediaite, “It’s never great to see an elected official make a clear and obvious mistake while speaking publicly. When the official is confidently making the mistake? Oof.”

“Such was the case Thursday when Vice President Kamala Harris mistakenly claimed that women’s college basketball players had not enjoyed the benefits of tournament brackets until just last year, 2022. Tournament brackets have long been a fixture of the NCAA women’s basketball postseason, but the ‘March Madness’ copyright was only extended to the women in 2022.”

Harris actually thought it was illegal to make brackets to try and predict who would win in the women’s NCAA tournament games.

It’s anyone’s guess how such a law would be enforced.

“Do you know? Okay, a bit of a history lesson. Do you know that women were not? The women’s teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022. Think about that. And what? That. Talk about progress. You know better late than never, but progress and what that has done,” Harris gushed.

“And even just now allowing the women to have brackets and what that does to encourage people to talk more about the women’s teams, to watch them now they’re being covered, you know, and this is the reality people used to say are women’s sports.”

The truth is, that women have always been allowed to have brackets, but Harris almost certainly felt it was necessary to paint women’s basketball players as victims.

Now she’s getting ruthlessly mocked by Mediaite and others as her statement gets fact-checked and disproven.

But the world keeps on turning. Women’s NCAA basketball will continue to have brackets just like always – and Kamala Harris will continue to have gaffes just like this one.
