Karine Jean-Pierre ducks question about Joe Biden’s impeachable offenses

Karine Jean-Pierre wanted nothing to do with the latest Joe Biden scandal.

Even Jean-Pierre could tell she was wading into a danger zone.

And Karine Jean-Pierre went silent when faced with a question about one high crime.

Hunter Biden and his attorneys thought it would be a public relations masterstroke to crash a House Oversight Committee hearing where Republicans planned to vote on a resolution holding Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress.

Republicans sought to recommend criminal prosecution for Hunter Biden after Biden defied a congressional subpoena compelling testimony in a closed-door deposition about Joe Biden’s role in an alleged foreign influence peddling scheme.

Hunter Biden skipping the hearing to hold a press conference turned into a political legal fiasco when Karine Jean-Pierre later told reporters that Joe Biden knew full well what his son planned to say.

That admission opened Joe Biden up to an article of impeachment on the grounds of obstructing justice since he was aware his son planned to defy a lawful congressional subpoena.

And should Joe Biden lose the 2024 election a Republican Department of Justice could very well elect to pursue criminal charges against Biden.

Hunter Biden quickly fled the hearing once Republicans caught on to his presence and demanded he be taken into custody.

At a subsequent White House press briefing Jean-Pierre made sure she stuck to careful talking points and didn’t freestyle when questioned about Hunter Biden.

CBS News chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes wondered if Joe Biden knew his son would march into the hearing as legal experts said Hunter Biden openly mocking the committee after defying the subpoena only strengthened the obstruction of justice case.

Jean-Pierre didn’t deny Biden was in on this stunt, but she also didn’t confirm it either.

“So here’s what I’ll say, and I’ve said this many times before. Hunter, as you all know, is a private citizen, he’s not a member of this White House. He makes his own decisions, like he did today about how to respond to Congress. And so I would refer you any further questions, any additional questions about this process, certainly, too, I refer you to Hunter’s representatives,” Jean-Pierre stated.

Cordes followed up as she wouldn’t settle for a non-denial as an answer.

But Jean-Pierre again stuck to playing rope-a-dope.

“I would just, again, I would say that I don’t have anything, we don’t have anything else to share beyond that. He’s a private citizen, and he makes his own decisions as it relates to this particular, you know, response, his particular response to the Congress, that’s something that he decides on. And I would refer you to his representatives,” Jean-Pierre replied.

In light of Jean-Pierre’s original admission that Joe Biden knew about his son’s plan to defy Congress, Jean-Pierre’s bobbing and weaving only served to whet the appetite of Republican congressional investigators to get to the bottom of Joe Biden potentially committing more high crimes and misdemeanors.
