Tim Walz and his fellow Democrats thought they checkmated President Trump.
But they didn’t count on one thing.
And now Tom Homan made this bold promise that left Tim Walz pounding the table in rage.
Democrats and the fake news media celebrated President Trump recalling Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino from Minnesota and sidelining Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem following two violent leftist agitators provoking fatal confrontations with agents carrying out immigration arrests in Minnesota.
Anti-Trump journalists and Democrats claimed Border Czar Tom Homan taking over ICE operations meant Trump retreated on mass deportations.
Tim Walz hailed the development and told The Bulwark podcast that he planned to press for more concessions and that “his ends with impartial investigations, the departure of federal forces, and an end to the campaign of retribution against Minnesota.”
Trump supporters worried this meant that the left learned that it could unleash mobs of violent militias into the streets every time they lost an election to veto the agenda the American people voted for.
Tom Homan destroyed the left’s narrative in a press conference shortly after his arrival in Minneapolis.
Homan made it clear that there was no surrender on President Trump’s mission to enforce immigration law and deport illegal aliens.
While Homan said the priority remained deporting criminals, that didn’t mean ICE agents would ignore illegal aliens without a criminal record if they encountered them during arrest raids.
“We are not surrendering the president’s mission in immigration enforcement,” Homan said. “Let’s make that clear. Prioritization of criminal amendments doesn’t mean we forget about everybody else. That’s just simply ridiculous. But when you have a criminal standing here and a non-criminal standing there, that criminal always should be targeted because he’s a significant concern to the safety and security of the community,” Homan stated.
Homan slammed Democrats and the media who smeared ICE agents as some kind of masked Gestapo, shooting innocent American citizens in the street, instead telling Americans that ICE agents were professional law enforcement carrying out an important job.
“By and large, for decades, ICE and [Customs and Border Protection] have carried out their duties with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. That remains the expectation under President Trump, and we will, I will, hold our agents and officers to that standard,” Homan added.
President Trump won a landslide re-election victory because Joe Biden and Kamala Harris opened up the border to 10,000,000 illegal aliens, whom Democrats hoped to turn into voters.
Trump promised mass deportations.
Democrats bet that dispatching militias into the streets of Minneapolis to create violence and sow chaos would force Trump to back down.
Tom Homan made it clear that the gamble turned out to be a loser.
