Joe Biden’s memory had a terrible breakdown during a public appearance.
And onlookers could do nothing to help as this disaster unfolded.
One of the biggest stories in the political world this election cycle has been the cognitive decline of Joe Biden.
Many people noticed it during the 2020 presidential election and he’s only gone more downhill since.
Recently, he had an incident that caused onlookers to become extremely worried about him.
And voters who are deciding whether to support him or Trump are going to have an extremely hard time voting for Biden if they see this video.
According to Newsweek, “Joe Biden’s comments about a Walmart store that will offer the same prices as before the COVID-19 pandemic have stirred criticism and questioning among Republicans, who have accused him of lying.”
While it’s certainly possible Biden lied, and wouldn’t be the first time, it’s equally possible he simply forgot what the truth actually was.
Here’s what Biden said: “Walmart just announced that they’re going—they’ve opened a new store and they’ve just announced that they’re going to charge for all the products there the same exact price it was charged before the pandemic.”
The problem is the story is untrue.
“Here are the facts. Walmart announced earlier this year that it will be opening more than 150 new stores over the next five years, creating ‘tens of thousands of jobs.’ It will also remodel 650 existing stores across 47 states and Puerto Rico over the next 12 months. The first two stores are opening in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia, this spring,” the article continues.
“When it comes to prices, there’s evidence of Walmart president and CEO Doug McMillon saying that the company is in fact seeing lower prices when it comes to food.”
The fact the company is “seeing lower prices” does not mean they’re universally dropping down to pre-COVID prices.
It seems that Biden heard about this somewhere and it simply registered incorrectly in his brain.
But it’s not really surprising that Biden has problems retaining information – the man is literally in his twilight years. His mind and body are deteriorating. It’s just part of the circle of life.
But it does call into question his ability to continue serving.
