President Trump is gearing up for the biggest legislative fight of his agenda.
But now a terrible betrayal changed everything.

President Trump told Republicans that passing the SAVE Act will “guarantee” victory in the midterm election.
The SAVE will eliminate election fraud by mandating voter ID and proof of citizenship to register to vote, and by banning mail-in ballots except for military and overseas voters.
But RINOs in the Senate are refusing to pass the bill by either holding a talking filibuster or changing the rules to pass the bill with 51 votes.
To pressure the Senate, Trump revealed he would withhold his endorsement in the Texas Senate primary runoff until the Senate passed the SAVE Act.
“President Donald Trump is delaying his endorsement in the Texas Senate GOP primary to ramp up pressure on Republican senators to pass his high-priority voting restrictions bill, according to two people close to the White House granted anonymity to speak candidly,” POLITICO reported.
Establishment Republicans like Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD_ are begging Trump to endorse RINO incumbent John Coryn.
Cornyn trails pro-Trump State Attorney General Ken Paxton in the early runoff polls.
Conservatives turned on Cornyn after Cornyn wrote Joe Biden’s gun control bill and claimed his goal in running for another term was to pass a mass amnesty bill.
To try to woo Trump, Cornyn wrote an op-ed in the New York Post, Trump’s hometown and favorite paper, claiming he now supported eliminating the filibuster to pass the SAVE Act.
“I support whatever changes to Senate rules that may prove necessary for us to get the SAVE America Act and homeland security funding past the Democrats’ obstruction, through the Senate, and on the president’s desk for his signature,” Cornyn wrote.
But this was all for show.
NBC News confronted Cornyn in the Capitol hallways and asked whether he supported nuking the filibuster to pass the SAVE Act.
Cornyn blocked the camera and angrily told the reporter to “go away.”

It was telling that Cornyn refused to support changing the filibuster to pass the SAVE Act outside of a conservative media ecosystem that he knew President Trump lives in.
Breitbart blasted Cornyn in an article headlined “Filibuster Bluster: John Cornyn Flip-Flops Again on Filibuster Hours After Promising ‘Whatever It Takes’ to Pass SAVE America Act.”
Reporter Matthew Boyle doubled down, calling on the Cornyn campaign to “prove Cornyn actually stands with the president by RELEASING THE SECRET WHIP LIST that Cornyn has in his possession that delineates where every single GOP senator is on the filibuster. For now, the Cornyn operation is in complete free fall.”
John Cornyn was just trying to pull a fast one to win Trump’s endorsement.
It backfired.
