Megyn Kelly Says Alabama Senator Katie Britt Out of Contention for Trump VP Slot

There was no getting around this massive debacle.

The 2024 election is now in chaos.

And Megyn Kelly made this bombshell announcement about Trump’s VP.

In an interview with Newsmax’s Greg Kelly (no relation to Megyn Kelly), Trump said he had an idea about his shortlist of contenders, but that some had eliminated themselves because they didn’t “behave appropriately.”

Many pundits took that to mean Trump was referring to RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley who had refused to endorse Trump once she dropped out of the race.

Megyn Kelly, however, thought everyone was mistaken as Kelly believes Trump would’ve spoken in much harsher terms about someone like Haley.

“Does ‘they didn’t behave appropriately,’ do you think — we’re trying to get into his mind — mean somebody who attacked him?” Kelly began. “Because I think, I think he would have used a different word. You know, ‘They turned out to be losers.’ You know, I think he would have been stronger in his condemnation and he might have even named them if they had actually slammed him.”

“I have my own theory,” Kelly stated.

“My theory is it could be a reference to a rising star in the Republican Party who had such heat and buzz around them that they were asked to deliver the response to the State of the Union — and then bombed,” Kelly stated.

And that person was Alabama Senator Katie Britt.

Britt is a Mitch McConnell acolyte who courted the MAGA base.

As a 42-year-old, Britt gave off the vibe of a college cheerleader who now makes sure all the kids have pizza and ice cream after soccer games.

Many inside Trump’s world thought Britt could appeal to the suburban female voters who fled the GOP over the last eight years.

But Britt’s State of the Union response was nothing short of a disaster.

The overcoached Britt came across as the villain from a camp horror movie with her breathy tone and odd demeanor.

Avengers actress Scarlett Johansson satirized Britt’s SOTU response on the ensuing episode of Saturday Night Live.

Conservatives were also furious as Kelly declared that Britt “embarrassed” herself, the Republican Party, and all women.

Kelly said Trump – who places high value on someone’s live media persona when making hiring decisions – had to have seen the speech and what a “train wreck” of a performance Britt put out.

“Okay. Zero chance he didn’t realize what a train wreck that was,” Kelly stated. “He praised her at a rally over the weekend like a classy guy. Um, but there’s zero chance he didn’t see what the rest of us saw. So what do you think of my theory?”

Kelly believes now that Britt’s turned herself into a national punchline, there’s no chance Trump will put her on the ticket now.
